Connexion Technologies Expands
Business to Include Existing Properties

Connexion Technologies, the nation's leading builder of fiber-optic infrastructure for greenfield real estate developments, recently began an initiative to expand its business. In addition to creating advanced fiber-optic networks in new developments, Connexion is now bringing the power, speed and flexibility of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) to existing properties.

Fiber to the Home networks can support far more bandwidth-hungry services than the traditional networks that currently exist in most properties. Connexion Technologies can deliver a more robust channel line-up, more HD channels, faster Internet speeds and more advanced phone packages and features - all at a higher level of service and at a lower price than most incumbents.

"The trick to overbuilding is not disrupting what is already there...not disturbing the daily lives of the residents," said David Burman, Regional Vice President of Reunion's developer, Ginn Resorts. "To date they have completed 65 percent of the overbuilding process without disrupting a thing." Thanks to their new FTTH network, Reunion can now support advanced technological services for its guests and staff.

Connexion is currently building FTTH networks in five existing properties, including resort, single family, high rise, and apartments, with dozens more already on the drawing board nationwide. "Connexion Technologies is very excited that we're able to bring all the benefits of an FTTH network into existing properties," said Geoff Fair, Connexion Technologies' Executive Vice-President of Engineering. "It's a very significant advance in our deployment of optical fiber that we've 'cracked the code' in figuring out how to make business sense of building networks in pre-existing communities. We hope that many more properties discover its advantages and upgrade to FTTH."

Connexion Technologies Gives Back It's the season for giving, and Connexion Technologies has done its part with a recent donation of more than $4000 to Habitat for Humanity. Habitat has built more than 250,000 houses around the world, providing more than one million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent and affordable shelter. A gift of this amount could possibly be used to build all the flooring for two homes, all the wallboards for four homes, or even 53 windows for families in need.
